What are Cascading Style Sheets?

CSS is an acronym for Cascading Style Sheets. Cascading Style Sheets tell a web page how to style content. A web page you pull up in a browser has lines of programming. Less lines of code in your web page, the faster your browser can process it.

What does this have to do with Cascading Style Sheets? CSS removes all the lines of programming describing how to style the content of a web page. Your browser will cache the CSS style sheet, the web page will appear in your browser faster.

Bottom line, less wait time for your web page audience and the Web Server can serve more people. More customers, less waiting, more money in less time.
